There are many different types of teeth for different purposes. The incisor teeth in the front is for cutting food. The canines are for tearing food. The premolars and molars in the back are used to crush and chew food. It is important for one to keep they teeth healthy by regularly visiting the richmond hill dentist and routine brushing and flossing daily.

There are two types of teeth: milk teeth (also called baby teeth) and permanent teeth. Milk teeth come out from 6 months until the 24th month of a child. A complete set of milk teeth consists of 20 teeth. All milk teeth are replaced by permanent teeth. The first permanent tooth most likely comes out on the child's 6th or 7th birthday, which when completed consists of 32 permanent teeth.
