What are the disadvantages of using a vacuum bag for film attach?
A vacuum of ~14 psi (0.1 MPa) is typically pulled under the bag to cause the pressure on the package during heating. This process may pinch corners of package during cure, which may cause warpage that could lead to incomplete wet-out of the film. This is generally a slow process and vacuum bag curing may also use heavy base plates that further slow oven ramp times.
