What are the easiest vegetables/fruit to grow?

You can grow courgettes in pots. They are easy to sow, easy to grow as they are fairly slug resistant and just seem to get on with it and if you keep picking the veg, they’ll keep cropping for ages. 1-2 plants will give you more courgetttes than you’ll ever need! Start them off now on the windowsill in a small pot and pot out when they have 2 to 3 proper leaves. Squash plants are similar but not so slug resistant. Other things that are fairly easy to grow in containers are chili peppers, bell peppers (although I was always disappointed with the result), beans, peas and cherry tomatoes all of which can be sown now as above. You can also grow fruit such as strawberries and blueberries in a pot. But blueberries need ericaceous compost not the normal stuff, just ask for it at your local garden centre/DIY store. You can also get dwarf appletrees that are suitable for growing in pots.
