What are the educational requirements for admission for students educated outside the United States?
Students educated outside the United States must meet the same requirements as all applicants to Loyola’s Institute of Pastoral Studies. This means that they must have completed the equivalent of a four-year U.S. bachelor’s degree. You must also take the TOEFL. • What is the TOEFL requirement? If you completed your prior education outside the United States, then Loyola requires a language exam score report. The most common exam is the TOEFL. The minimum TOEFL score to be a candidate for admission is 550 for paper-based or 213 for computer-based. Loyola University Chicago administers a language exam called the TELA which may be taken in place of the TOEFL. • Is there financial aid available for non-United States citizens? Any student admitted to IPS can be considered for the very limited scholarship awards.
