Norfolk researchers are extremely fortunate in the fact that Norfolk was one of three counties (Devon & Warwickshire being the others) used to produce an 1851 Census Index. This project was a pilot program for the 1881 Census Index Project and its output is similar in format to that described above. This microfiche is available from local LDS Family History Centers for permanent loan at very low cost.
