You should read the Migration Booklet which applies to you. These are currently Business Skills Migration, booklet 7 – 1132 Child Migration, booklet 2 – 1128 Employer Sponsored Migration, booklet 5 – 1131 General Skilled Migration, booklet 6 – 1119 Other Family Migration, booklet 4 – 1130 Parent Migration, booklet 3 – 1129 Partner Migration, booklet 1 – 1127 Special Migration, booklet 8 – 1133 Always check that you have the latest booklet. Typically, they change in June, March and November each year. Each migration application requires a form 47 (there are particular versions of this form for each application, such as 47SK, 47CH, 47PA and 47SP). There are also sponsorship and assurance of support forms, which you should identify by first looking at your migration booklet. Make sure you use the latest forms, they also change regularly. Using an old form will not invalidate your application but it may delay it.
