What are the forms of BHRT available?
One of the biggest assets to bio-identical hormone replacement is that they are available in a variety of dosage forms. Since bio-identical hormones are formulated by compounding pharmacists, each dose can be compounded to each person’s specific needs, whereas synthetic hormones are limited to a few doses. Slow release capsules, vaginal creams and transdermal creams/gels are our most commonly used products. We also offer sublingual (under the tongue) lozenge/troches and vaginal suppositories which are also effective ways to administer these hormones.
