NeoPhoenix you are almost right, but you made a few mistakes. They do not seek to become “one” with Krishna, the goal is to go to the “spiritual world” and live with Krishna. Also it is not an “adapted ideology of Hinduism”. That inplies that there is an ideology called Hinduism, which there isn’t. Hinduism is an umbrella term for the many different sects with different beliefs who base their beliefs on the Vedas (mainly the upanishads). The Hare Krishna’s are one of those sects, they started some 500 years ago in Bengal.

ISKCON, whose popular nickname is “Hare Krishna”, is the International Society for Krishna Conciousness. They follow an adapted ideology of Hinduism that conisits of the worship of Caitanya, who is believed by the Hare Krishnas to be a reincarnation of the Hindu diety Krishna. Hare Krishnas believe that humans are in fact physical and spiritual manifestations of Krishna’s “energies” and seek to become one with Krishna by following a path of ethical guidelines. These guidelines include recognizing Krishna as the supreme diety and surrendering to his will; providing help to others with no thought of return; and refraining from gambling, consuming alcohol, eating meat, and adultery.
