What are the funding priorities for the Recovery Act Tribal Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program?
OVW is especially interested in funding projects that propose one of the two following activities: (1) increase or retain staffing at tribal coalitions, (2) provide technical assistance to member programs; (3) conducting statewide, regional, and/or tribally-based meetings or workshops on domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking; (4) bring local tribal programs together to identify gaps in service and coordinate activities; (5) coordinate and present public awareness or community education campaigns; and (6) provide direct services or assistance to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking provided that no more than fifteen percent of the total budget is used for that purpose.
