GCSE’s dont count at all in going to university (well you need a minimum grade C in maths english and science for most courses but grades arent important) However to go to a good college you may need good GCSE’s but you can go to any college and come out with A’s if you work hard, An A at a-level is worth 120 ucas points, a B is worth 100, a C is worth 80 etc. and most courses need a minimum 240 although some like IT are lower.
