What are the greatest strengths and weaknesses of Ole Miss in recruiting golfers?
To start with, Ole Miss has a beautiful campus. This gives visitors a good first impression. We are also improving our facilities. We added a golf team-only driving range in 2006. This summer, we completed construction on a Short Game Facility that is over two acres. I want to thank Athletics Director Pete Boone for his backing of our program. I also want to thank the many private donors that helped pay for the Short Game Facility. We paid for the project with donated money. I am also very happy that Chancellor Robert Khayat and the University have improved the Ole Miss Golf Course. As you drive into the golf course to our building and practice facilities, you pass by the golf course. Again, people’s perception of our program is built a lot on first impressions. One of our weaknesses is the lack of numbers of talented players in Mississippi junior golf. We have a few, but our numbers don’t compare to Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama or Florida. It would be nice if we had more players that g
