Alfalfa Sprouts Health Benefits Alfalfa sprouts can be easily made at home with alfalfa seeds. Take half a cup of good quality alfalfa seeds, wash them thoroughly under running water. In a jar, pour some water and add the seeds in it. Stand the jar for 10-15 minutes. The husk and other debris like dead seeds will float atop. Drain water, and once more fill the jar with clean water and add the cleaned seeds again. This time stand the jar undisturbed for 7-8 hours or overnight. After which drain out all the water, seal the jar and store in a cool dry place. The seeds will sprout within 48 to 72 hours depending upon the climate and location of the jar. Keep washing the sprouts at least once a day. T
