Answer I don’t feel there are any. Low levels will show some anemia, but therapy at that point would only be contraindicated if teh patient was receiving blood at that time. That is how i have seen it in the hospital. If you see low levels, consult the nurse or MD to ask their opinion. to my knowledge, there are no specific numbers.
