What are the Higher Rebates for Older Australians?
All people aged 65 and over who are eligible for Medicare and who have a Complying Health Insurance Product (CHIP) with an insurer registered with the Private Health Insurance Administration Council (PHIAC), are eligible for the Higher Rebates for Older Australians. People aged 65–69 years are eligible for a 35% Rebate on their private health insurance premium. People aged 70 years and over are eligible for a 40% Rebate on their private health insurance premium.
