What are the initial checks to be made before each fusion cycle to Profittings machines components?
First of all check that all the components work properly. Check that the carriages are moving properly by activating the hydraulic power unit. Check if the blades are sharp. Check that Teflon surface on the heating plate is clean and undamaged. Use a digital thermo-probe to check that temperature reached by the heater is the same as the temperature shown on the machine display. Thoroughly clean the internal and external surfaces to be welded using isopropyl alcohol or other pipe manufacturers recommended cleaning solution.
