What are the interrelationship between Yin and Yang?
I think it will help you if you read this article. You will learn the main differences and understand what is the connection between Yin and Yang
In the ancient Chinese literature it is believed that Yin is active within and acts as a guardian of Yang. Yang is active on the surface and functions as a regulator of Yin. Yin stores up essence and Yang protects it. The routes through which ‘Qi’ flows in the body are known as meridians or channels. The energies of Yin and Yang are of great importance in Traditional Medicine. The body is healthy only when yin and yang hold each other in balance. Too much Yang causes heightened organic activity; too much yin, an inadequate functioning of the organs. An imbalance of the Yin-Yang ratio caused illness. This is not to say that everyone should have exactly half of each; every individual needs to find this balance depending on their own constitution, climate, season, occupation and even emotional environment. And, if in perfect health, the individual should be able to adapt to any inevitable changes.
