All generated files are heavily commented, the javadoc is very respectable. In fact the standard build script will generate a domain-specific javadoc.jar that is complete and useful. As a guiding principle, we believe documentation belongs in the code. The generated code itself is written and maintained to a very strict set of standards, which you will immediately notice when you look through it. (It could very well be the best generated code you have ever seen). PRO-JSP (the subsystem that generates the Struts web apps), generates JSPs that are very, very clean: fully JSTL-compliant and not one line of embedded Java scriptlet code anywhere.
