What are the kinds of context clues?
I’m not sure what kinds you were taught. This page, pasted below, gives five kinds and examples. I would add that these are all semantic clues (meaning clues) there are also syntactic clues (grammar clues). You can usually tell what part of speech a word is from the position of the word in the sentence and sometimes from the form of the word, too. Example: She was collapsing from the heat.
