What are the laws and policies concerning the pawn of a firearm?
We can accept both handguns and long guns from you as collateral no matter which state you live in. We can return it to you as well. Federal law, since 1968, states that you must be 18 to buy a long gun (rifle or shotgun) and 21 to buy a handgun. THIS AGE RESTRICTION APPLIES TO THE RETURN OF PAWNED GUNS AS WELL!! You will be suject to the Brady TAX of $25 and backround investigation BEFORE a pawned gun can be returned to you!! The ‘Brady tax’ now applys to ALL gun purchases! Yet another way of the bureaucrats stealing our money! If you have a valid NEVADA issued concealed weapons permit (CCW) you will NOT have to pay the Brady TAX or do the Brady paperwork or submit to the Brady backround investigation! You will be subject to a background investigation BEFORE a pawned gun can be returned to you!! If you have a valid Mississippi issued concealed weapons permit (CCW) you will NOT have to do the Brady paperwork or submit to the Brady background investigation! Do you do layaways? YES!! A deposit of 20% holds an item in layaway for 30 days. Each time you come in and pay another 20% on your layaway, it will be extended for another 30 days.
