What are the main differences between Reza Shah Pahlavi and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi?
Reza Pahlavi was a ruthless military officer who seized power in 1925, and held it until deposed by the allies in ww2 for his pro-axis stance. His son was known to be a rather weak easily led individual. His father supposedly lament that he wished his sister had been a man because she was stronger. Many have speculated that this treatment left him with an inferiority complex. He tended to be lead by the military and stronger figures around him. He was deposed from power in 1979 and died from cancer in 1980.
Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was the second and last monarch of the House of Pahlavi of the Iranian monarchy. He came to power after an Anglo-Soviet invasion forced the abdication of his father Reza Shah Pahlavi.
