What are the Medifast Plus for Diabetics Shakes?
All Medifast Meals are calorie- and carbohydrate-controlled, making them suitable for people with type 2 diabetes. Recent testing has also demonstrated our entire product line to be low on the glycemic index. Low-glycemic foods help to minimize spikes in blood sugar levels and control hunger, keeping you feeling full longer. Medifast also carries a special line of shakes called Medifast Plus for Diabetics; these are lower in sugar and total carbohydrates than to our regular line of products. Medifast Plus for Diabetics Shakes contain less than 6 grams of sugar and 10 grams (or fewer) of total carbohydrates per serving, and have been certified by the Glycemic Research Institute to make the claim “low glycemic” and carry the Glycemic Research Institute’s seal of approval. Medifast Plus for Diabetics Shakes are completely interchangeable with other Medifast Meals, and can be used as a Medifast Meal in the 5 & 1 Plan or one of the specialized meal plans for diabetes.
