Trinidad is rich in natural resources. Oil, natural gas and other mineral elements including oil by-products are exported to the US and other countries. Lush tropical vegetation means a wide variety of flora and fauna, as well as varied fruits and vegetabes. Scenic beaches in Trinidad and in the sister isle of Tobago make for a bustling tourist market.
