The objectives of the new Tariff Policy are :- To ensure availability of electricity to consumers at reasonable & competitive rates. To ensure financial viability of the sector & attract investments. To promote transparency, consistency & predictability in regulatory approaches across jurisdictions & minimize perceptions of regulatory risks. Promote competition, efficiency in operations & improvement in quality of supply.
