What are the origins of your stage names 8000 Bam Bam and Baby Seal?
Sam: Mine was given to me by my older brother Clay, who I make music with also. He’s one of my best friends. As a kid he would call me Bam Bam, also it’s a reference to Andre 3000 who is a huge inspiration to me. Brady: Baby Seal came from these guys just describing my personality. Cute, smiley, fun. Everything a baby seal is I guess, I’m a baby. It felt right. Your first EP is coming out on Lefse, how’d that come about? Sam: It’s coming out June 15th. We recorded the album in Brady’s bedroom. Brady and I recorded everything and produced everything ourselves. We finished recording in Savannah and then we finished up mixing in Maryland very recently, in another bedroom. That was a painstaking process listening to the same songs over and over again for hours. At what point did Lefse get in contact with you?
