We should be able to track these into some standardized reporting and analysis. A great thought. A plan was developed last year, but nobody used it. Fish growth tends to slow down before they die; so it’s more likely to find large dead fish than small ones. What is the mechanism that kills the fish? We don’t know. Is there enough information on seasonality to determine the most appropriate timing of sampling? Not conclusively.
