What are the primary responsibilities of a research nurse coordinator in this PediBIRN derivation study?
At every participating site, the research nurse coordinator will: (1) screen PICU admission logs daily (or frequently enough) to identify new PICU patients meeting study inclusion criteria prior to their hospital discharge; (2) document these local screening activities on a screening log; (3) access the online PediBIRN data registry and complete form 1 ASAP after an eligible subjects is hospitalized; (4) assist other local PediBIRN investigators to capture, verify and/or enter the data requested on forms 2, 3 and 4; (5) respond promptly to any and all queries from the Study PI and/or Network Coordinator; and (6) work expeditiously to reconcile differences between lists of “eligible subjects with complete data captured” and “eligible subjects with complete data not yet captured.”
