What are the Pros and Cons of Cliques in School?
Pros: – It gives you a sense of belonging. – They tend to stand up for each other even when they’re the ones in the wrong. – They can rely on each other for support (SOME cliques, not all). Cons: – They generally gang up on other people or bully loners or people who aren’t popular. – They tend to not socialize with EVERYONE but stick to their own group, so they’re generally not open-minded to newbies and allowing people in their circle. – They are a bubble that in no way prepares you for what real life is like, where you have to deal with all types of people all the time and don’t generally have a right to just ignore people just because they’re not to your liking or aren’t in your group. – There’s generally a lot of pressure from within the clique to agree or to do the same thing or to look alike etc.
