Each vent type has its own set of features. • SunRise Solar Attic Vent • Pro: Runs year round using no electricity. Very quiet yet moves a LOT of air, over 1275 CFM. Comes on when the sun comes up. • Con: Does not work as well on the north side of home. This shortcoming can sometimes be overcome by putting the solar vent on a turbine base to elevate the vent. • Electrically Powered Pro-3 Attic Vent • Pro: The most powerful vent on the market, moving up to 1600 CFM. Can be installed anywhere. • Con: Uses electricity to operate, which offsets some of the savings of attic venting. Con: Often loud operation.
