For instance, if you started missing a lot of school or seemed unhappy, people are more likely to notice and try to help. Academics are stronger and more challenging. Closer community. Colleges sometimes recognize that the school you went to was more difficult than just a regular public school. This can help you. Cons: Costs more money. Depending on the school (boarding or day) it can take up more of your time. For instance, I attend a boarding school, but I am a day student so I end up staying at school until 5-8 pm.
