What are the pros and cons of Windows and a Mac?
Mac: Pros – Generally easier to use (although that is mostly a matter of opinion), Generally safer because nobody bothers writing viruses for Macs (although that will change as Macs become more popular). Cons – The “easier to use” interface means that a lot of settings and more “dangerous” system components are dummied-away because Apple is afraid you might be stupid and wreck your computer, there are less compatible programs for Apple machines (although that has the potential to change if Apple ever stops being paranoid about third party stuff). Windows: Pros – A more expansive interface that allows more complete control over your computer, and a larger software library that you can use. Cons – The less-padded interface means you have a higher chance of tweaking the wrong thing and messing your machine up.
