What are the qualifications of the tutors?
Most online tutors have at least a Bachelors degree in the subject they teach and 90% of the tutors hold a Masters degree or a double degree. Most tutors have over 10 years of experience in teaching or tutoring and have a passion for teaching. The tutors must pass a rigorous training and certification program to become certified tutors. The tutors should also be provided on-going training and testing to ensure competency in the subject they teach.
All of our tutors are fingerprinted with the NYC Department of Education and complete a full background check. Additionally, those fingerprints are run through a database on a daily basis to ensure your child’s safety. With regard to our tutors’ qualifications, we enlist tutors/teachers from various backgrounds. Our tutors’ credentials include active and retired NY State Certified teachers, degreed professionals, and college students. We try to find the best match for every child. Our tutors will have the appropriate educational background and skill set to effectively assist all grade levels.
