What are the qualities of the Finnsheep wool?]
[Staple length averages anywhere from 3 to 6 inches with a Bradford count of 48 to 60 and a micron count of 24-31. My Finnsheep are shorn twice a year, therefore the staple length is approximately 3 inches long. The wool is the softest of the medium wool breeds. The lamb’s wool can be worn next to the skin. The adult fleece can vary according to the individual sheep’s fiber and the person’s sensitivity to wool. Finn fiber is great for hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and cardigans. It is strong enough for outer wear, but soft enough to feel comfortable next to the skin.
