What are the receptor, stimulus; effectors and response?
Yeah we need to know the system but overall, in the body the receptor is the thing that gets information from a stimulus, and effectors are the things that carry out the response. FOR EXAMPLE in the nervous system, nerves in our feet, hands and body act as RECEPTORS because they carry information back to our brain. When our body encounters a STIMULUS, such as a painful sting, hot touch, even a bug crawling on our arm, it sends a signal to the receptors. When the receptors finally send the information about the stimulus to the brain, the brain sends signals to the EFFECTORS to take care of the stimulus. For example if you get burnt, your body tends to retract from the source of the stimulus. And RESPONSE is just what happens when your body finds out what the stimulus is, so reponse can be like a shiver when your cold, a yell when you stub ur toe, and such.
