Implementation or the continued implementation of Drug Assisted Intubation (formally known as Rapid Sequence Induction-RSI) requires an EMS System or Agency to fulfill the following requirements: • Waveform Capnography and Pulse Oximetry are required and must be used throughout the procedure. • Two EMT-Paramedics or higher-level providers must be present and participate in the airway management of the patient during the procedure. • The Airway-Drug Assisted Intubation Protocols must be used in its original 2009 NCCEP form • The Airway-Drug Assisted Intubation Procedure must be followed in its original 2009 NCCEP form • All Staff must be trained and signed off by the EMS Medical Director prior to performing Drug Assisted Intubation. • Documentation of the airway within the Patient Care Report must be completed. • A printed copy or electronic download from the monitor defibrillator including the pulse oximetry, heart rate, heart rhythm, waveform capnography, and blood pressure must be st
