Start by checking with the County Planning Department to make certain that your parcel is of sufficient size and correct zoning to allow it to be split. Here are the normal requirements for Environmental Health: Sewage Disposal: with the Planning Department application, you must provide soil test data in a percentage (Section A-036 3 A) that depends on the parcel size. Soil testing must be completed for every parcel prior to recording the map. Additional information can be found in the sewage disposal regulations (Section A-036 ). Water Supply: if you will be using wells, with the application to the County Planning Department you must provide a well driller’s report or well yield test for 10% of the parcels, (Section L-X 4.2 A).
