What are the requirements of the Gordon-MIT Engineering Program Leadership tracks?
A1. The extent to which you participate in the tracks dictates your requirements. Overall, the tracks are structured to mesh with and complement your existing academic obligations. We want to give you opportunities, not more requirements. But as with any real life undertaking, there are certain benchmarks you have to achieve to earn this credential. To obtain “ELPOP” status (approximately the equivalent of an MIT concentration), you must complete successfully the following requirements: • Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program (UPOP) • 3 of 4 ELP (Engineering Leadership Program) 6-unit short subjects • 1 Engineering Practice Project • A Personal Leadership Development Plan (PLDP) and submission of a fulfillment document • A degree from the School of Engineering A2.
