What are the sanctions that face schools and districts that do not make AYP?
The sanctions are different for schools and districts, and different sanctions apply, depending on how many times a school/district has not made AYP and the areas that do not make AYP, as noted above. An improvement plan must be filed when a school or district “needs improvement.” School choice and supplemental services apply for schools in Step 1 and Step 2 of improvement.
