The medications used to treat ADHD and Bipolar are different as they are totally different conditions. Ritalin is the medication most commonly heard about that is used to treat ADHD There are many different medications used to treat Bipolar which include mood stabilisers, anti-psychotics and anti-depressants. They all have side effects but people with bipolar disorder need to be on medication so it's a case of finding the medication that best works for them and has the least unwanted side effects.  more
