well, you just have to follow the directions on the bottle, some say take with food and some say don't. If you don't, then dont take with milk. You should never take any meds or vitamins with Tea. Tea leeches everything from whatever you eat with it, so anything you want to absorb into your bloodstream shouldn't be had in conjunction with tea. Most antibiotics dont have many side effects other than killing the germ, however, penicillin is notorious for causing a yeast infection in women cause it kills so much bacteria that it kills the good bacteria as well as the bad. I would recommend zithromax instead and always finish your meds. Not finishing a perscription makes the strain stronger and then in turn creates super bugs and can kill people in the future.  more

There are many things that antibiotics like penicillin and amoxacillin can do for you. They help cure infection and other illnesses. However, like every other drug there can be side effects. One side effect of antibiotics that most women don't know about is that penicillin and other antibiotics will negate your birth control. This means that if you are taking antibiotics, having sex is ninety percent more likely to result in babies.

One of the most common side effects of antibiotics is diarrhea. It's an unfortunately nasty happening, and doesn't happen to everyone. This is because the antibiotics not only kill the bad bacteria but it also kills off the friendly antibiotics that keep your body regular. These friendly bacteria are used to regular stool and when there is none, it creates an unpleasant mess.

Allergic rash can happen if the antibiotic is too strong or you have proven to be allergic to the medication. If this happens, call your doctor immediately and stop taking the medication. Bumps, hives or rash are all common signs of having an allergy to the medication.

Vomiting is a possible side effect of penicillin. Most of the time it is due to the taste of the medication and not anything having to do with the antibiotic. Repeat the dose as directed and if it happens again, then you may want to consult with your doctor.

Antibiotics are generally very chalky tasting. Therefore, if need be, try drinking a full glass of water after you take it. This will wash the taste away but not effect the medication.
