If a member requests PRD extension to qualify for a Homeport Change Certificate, and the PRD extension exceeds the members EAOS, he/she will be required to obligate to serve through the extended PRD through either reenlistment, enlistment extension, or for those with more than 17 years of service a NAVPERS 1070/613. If a requested PRD extension would put a member past high year tenure (HYT), he/she must apply for a HYT waiver.
