Wax enables some protection to the ceramic tile surface and gives it an appealing sheen. But after waxing ceramic tile, the surface has to be maintained. When wax is applied, a regular buffing job will be required to keep the shine and to prevent traffic wear patterns on the waxed surface. In the longer term, a thorough cleaning of the ceramic flooring will be required, followed by the wax being stripped off and applied again.
