What are the steps to reformat my hard drive?

Warning: Reformatting erases your file system, so make sure you don't need anything on that file system or that you have an adequate backup of the files that you need. Step 1: Insert the WinXP Operating System CD into the CD or DVD drive. Step 2: Turn off the computer, and then turn the computer on again. If the computer boots to the CD, skip to step 4.
