What are the Student Learning Outcomes that are desired for the Honors Community?
Each QEP Learning Standard is accompanied by one or two measurable Student Learning Outcomes (SLO): • The Honors Student will relate his or her own discipline to theories, concepts, and knowledge from other disciplines. • The Honors Student will examine current issues utilizing critical thinking skills. • The Honors Student will demonstrate how to bridge abstract concepts (breadth) to the realities of implementation through service learning, intercultural experiences, and other opportunities (depth). • The Honors Community will build connections between the idea of Christian calling (breadth) and responsibility for excellence (depth). • The Honors Student will demonstrate the use of appropriate methodological (qualitative, quantitative, logical, aesthetic) tools in the production of distinctive academic and creative work. • The Honors Student will present his or her work to other persons and communities, employing both written and oral methodologies.
