Primary epilepsy is incredibly rare in cats, so if she is truly having seizures, I would strongly suspect that they are occuring secondary to another process. This really could be almost anything- seizures are not necessarily indicative of something going on in the brain itself- and would need a full physical exam to try to establish a cause. Not sure where you got the info on steroids from either- they are not used in long term management of seizures, only to manage oedema in very severe prolonged seizure clusters.
