What are the system requirements for MediaWiper?
• What types of media can MediaWiper securely erase? MediaWiper can securely erase the following types of media: • External hard drives • Internal hard drives (with the exception of your system drive) • Flash\Thumb\USB drives • Floppy disks • Zip disks • Memory cards • Can I wipe CD or DVD disks? Unfortunately, it is impossible to securely erase information from CD or DVD media. Instead, we would recommend that you physically destroy CD or DVD media using incineration or by purchasing a CD shredder. • Do I need to format my camera memory card after wiping it with MediaWiper? Generally no. However, you may need to use your camera to do a quick format of the card before you use it. Although the card will be formatted, some cameras need to place special folders on the card for operation. The camera’s format command will create these folders if needed. Most new digital cameras will do this step for you. • Can I wipe a drive from within Windows? Yes! MediaWiper was designed to run in Window
