What are the Test Requirements for Admission to the Multiple Subject Credential Program?
• Proof of having taken the CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test) Information booklets may be picked up at most university teacher education offices. To have the Education Testing Service mail you a CBEST information booklet, call 1 (916) 928-4001. Test dates are posted on the back of the test booklet. You may also obtain information or register for the CBEST online at www.cbest.nesinc.com You must pass CBEST prior to enrollment in the second stage of the program. • Proof of having PASSED the Multiple Subjects CSET (California Subject Examinations for Teachers). All three sections of the CSET must be taken and passed prior to admission to the program.
