What are the time frames and requirements for renewing a Life or Fire and Casualty (P&C) license?
Life licenses expire annually on December 31; P&C and adjuster licenses expire on May 31. Renewal applications are generated 67 days in advance of expiration. If a producer did not renew in the current year, they will not receive a renewal application. Residents submit the application, proof of continuing education (if necessary) and appropriate license fee. Non-residents submit the renewal application and appropriate license fee. The MID staff will verify home state licensure on the NAIC Producer Database (PDB).
