What are the types of child care available?

There are basically two types of child care, home-based and center-based. • Home-based options • A relative or friend • A licensed home (This means the providers program has met certain baseline standards and there is a limit on the number of children she/he can take.) • An unlicensed home (This means the provider has chosen not to become licensed.
