What are the typical challenges faced by managers of remote (or virtual) teams?
There is plenty of discussion about leading and managing remote teams, but perhaps a shortfall in practical advice for managers. I would like to build a comprehensive ‘user view’ of typical questions/challenges and problems from the perspective of a manager of a remote team. Please feel free to contribute questions and challenges i.e. “How do we XYZ” but don’t feel obliged to provide detailed answers at this point. I would be most grateful for responses from people that have first hand experience of managing remote teams.
