What are the uses of superconductors?

Hello, (ANS) One of the best examples of super conductivity I can think of currently is found in the CERN super Hadron Collider in Switzerland. The CERN synchrotron uses massive super cooled superconducting magnets in order to contain the high temperature gas plasma which it creates inside the vast experiment. **The massive magnets have to be super cooled down to almost absolute zero by using helium gas. Cooling the magnets increases the strength of there magnetic fields & without the superconductivity involved in the magnets then the gas plasma could not be contained safely. **NOTE:- Superconductivity is a quality or property of a material or a condition of a material to conduct electrical energy far more efficiently.
